1. Everything you should know before your first workout

👉 Familiarize yourself with the safety instructions and the operation.

👉 The controller is also the battery and should be charged before first use. Only charge the trainer with the included cable and use a standard USB adapter.

👉 Your skin should not be sweaty or greasy before use, so do not use creams before use. Optionally, you can clean your skin with a damp towel beforehand.

👉 Your trainer has 15 different intensity levels and goes through a 25-minute program. Start with the low levels (levels 1-2) at first.

👉 Your trainer recognizes whether there is skin contact and automatically starts (after switching on) in the first stage.

👉 Take care of the gel pads so that you can use your pads for as long as possible. Optionally, we recommend cleaning the pads under lukewarm water after your workout (remove the controller first!). Then let the pads air dry.

👉 Keep the pads on the included template. So no dust or other dirt gets on the gel pads.

👉 Every now and then the pads have to be changed. We offer replacement pads in our shop or on Amazon.

2. Loading the controller

Charging: The controller has an integrated and rechargeable battery . You can easily charge the controller with the included USB-C cable. The controller does not need to be opened to charge!

Note: Please do not use quick-charge adapters and do not charge the controller on your computer or laptop.

The controller is charging correctly when the LED lights up. As soon as the LED lights up blue, your controller is fully charged. A full charge cycle takes about 2-3 hours. Do not leave the trainer connected to the power supply for an unnecessarily long time. This can negatively affect the performance of the
affect battery.

3. Bedienung des Controllers

⚫️ Off - Your trainer is off and not active.

🔵 Blue - The trainer is active and going through the training program. Or your trainer is plugged in and fully charged .

🔵 Flashing Blue - Your trainer is powered on, but there is no skin contact , or the controller is not properly attached to the pad. The trainer will then switch off automatically after 30 seconds.

🟢 Green - The massage function is active.

🔴 Red - The battery is empty and the trainer needs to be charged. Or your trainer is plugged in and charging.

4. The right attachment

abdominal trainer

Position the trainer so that the controller is above your belly button . The trainer should cover your abdominal muscles well.

glute trainer

Position the trainer so that the trainer is centered on your butt. It is advisable to use a mirror for the first attachment.

Arm & leg trainer

Position the trainer so that the pad is centered on your upper arm. For leg training, the pad should be positioned in the middle of your thigh.

5. Course of the training

Once your trainer is activated and attached to your skin, the stimulation program will run through. The program is not static, but goes through a very specific training to stimulate your muscles in the best possible way.

Increasing or decreasing the intensity does not change your training program. The training is mainly intensified, so start at level 1-2 and slowly increase the intensity.

6. Cleaning & changing pads

To ensure that your pads last as long as possible, we recommend that you clean the gel pads regularly . First remove the controller from your pad and hold the pad under lukewarm water.

Then let the pad air dry . Once the pad has dried, attach it to the template provided. This protects the pads from dust and dirt.

Important: Do not use cloths or soap. Make sure the controller stays dry and doesn't get wet.

Changing pads:
Your pads will typically last 1-2 months at recommended usage (2-3 workouts per week). To change your pad, remove the controller from your pad and attach it to your new pad. You can simply use up used pads
dispose.

The pads wear out over time. How long the pads last depends on various factors (skin type, care, frequency of use). If your pads no longer stick well, we recommend replacing them.

Bonus tip - How to improve adhesion:
You can lightly wet the appropriate skin area with water before use. This allows the pads to adhere better to your skin. This tip is also recommended for clients who have very dry skin.

7. Tethers for your trainers

Particularly firm hold: Bodify® strap for additional fixation of your stomach pads. With the belt you can train even more actively with your EMS trainer.

Extends the life of your gel pads: over time, the pad becomes soiled with skin flakes and dust - this is completely normal! Regular cleaning can improve adhesion. With the tether you also improve the usability and ensure a lasting firm hold.

To make it easier for you to get started with EMS training, we have put together a training plan for you. The training plans are our suggestions for sustainable training with Bodify EMS.

9. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use multiple trainers at the same time?
Use a trainer at the moment and divide your EMS training for all other body areas on different days of the week.

How often should I exercise?
Various studies show that EMS training supports and promotes muscle building. However, the studies have also shown that it is not so relevant whether the training is carried out daily or only twice a week. Your muscles need to regenerate. We recommend training the same body area a maximum of 2-3 times per week .

What intensity should I use and when should I increase it?
You should slowly increase the intensity, start at level 1 or 2. We strongly advise against going to your limits during training! Train at the level you are comfortable with. Because EMS training is many times more effective than conventional training. It may take several weeks before you move to the next level.

The pads are no longer sticking, what can I do?
Read the section under “Tips for use and maintenance”. It is normal for the pads not to stick properly over time. Then you should get new pads.

I think there is something wrong with my coach, what should I do?
Contact our customer support, don't use your trainer until then. We are happy to help you and find a quick and easy solution for you.

Can I use my trainer for another area?
No, the trainers were designed for their respective areas and should not be used in any other way than stated.

Should I exercise while pregnant?
No, you should not use EMS training during and shortly after pregnancy! Talk to your doctor before exercising.

Should I exercise if I don't feel fit?
No, better take a break from training and recover.

The LED no longer lights up, even after (or during) charging.
This can have the following reasons: The battery is empty or the controller is defective. Possible solution: Charge the controller if the LED is on while charging, monitor the charging process for 20 minutes and see if the controller turns back on. If not, then get in touch with our support.

I feel an uncomfortable feeling under the pads.
Possible cause: The gel pads are worn out and should be changed. The skin contact between the pads and your skin is not optimal, try to moisten your skin lightly with water beforehand. Too many workouts take a break and give your muscles a few days off. If the uncomfortable feeling persists, get in touch with our customer support.

The contractions are weak even at higher levels?
Pay attention to the correct application of your trainer. Possible causes: The pads are not attached correctly or the position is incorrect. The gel pads are used up - change your pads. Skin contact is too weak - moisten your skin very slightly.

I have red spots or itching in the trained area?
This can be an overreaction of your skin, in this case stop the training. This is very rare, but then you should stop training. Contact our support for this.

Is body hair a problem?
The pads should still stick well to your skin despite body hair. It helps to lightly dampen your skin with water beforehand. If you have excessive hair, you can shave the affected areas of the body.
